Obituary of John William Clark

Mr. John William Clark, age 74, of Ozark, died Friday, December 12, 2008, in Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Monday, December 15, 2008, from Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Monday at the church from 12:30 P. M. until service time. Mr. Clark was born March 13, 1934 in Phoenix, Arizona. He had lived in various places and made his home in Indianapolis, Indiana for twenty-three years. He moved to Ozark in May 2002 where he was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. He was a writer of stories, an avid Indianapolis Colts fan, and enjoyed NASCAR racing. He enjoyed working in his yard in his wheel chair. Mr. Clark was an award-winning artist with his painting, cross stitching, and crochet. He had enjoyed fishing and music. Survivors include his wife, Fern Westenhofer Clark of Ozark; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Robin and Reverend Jim Hill of Ozark, Tina Wethington of Lebanon, Indiana, and Toni Belcher (Jerry) of Lebanon, Indiana; one son, Greg Clark of Ozark; and one sister, Dona Smith of Avon, Indiana. Nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren also survive.
