Ms. Gayle Ann (Brown) Reeves, age 56, a resident of Newton, died Sunday, January 20, 2008, at her residence. Friends, family members, coworkers, and others can remember Gayle tonight from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. at Newton Baptist Church. A private burial service will be held Saturday, January 26, 2008 at Newton City Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Autism Society of Alabama, 4778 Overton Road, Birmingham, Alabama 35210. Ms. Reeves was born in Dallas, Oregon on June 5, 1951, the daughter of Darrell D. Brown and Doris A. (Gable) Heintz. After living 54 years of her life living in Oregon and Nevada, she moved to Newton to be closer to her son and his family. Ms. Reeves is survived by her son, Kevin S. Chaney; daughter-in-law, LaNeshia D. Chaney; granddaughter, Sara Beth Chaney; grandson, Cole Thomas Chaney of Madison, Alabama; brother Terry Murray of Sand Point, Idaho; and brother Allan Murray of Myrtle Point, Oregon.
