Mr. LeRoy "Ray" Petty, age 72, of Ozark, died early Sunday morning, February 11, 2007, at his home following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Thursday, February 15, 2007, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Harry Circle officiating. Interment will follow in Travelers Rest Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Wednesday evening. Mr. Petty was born October 3, 1934 in Dale County to the late Mary Dyck Petty and Bartow Petty. He served in the United States Army, and then worked for General Motors until his retirement. Following his retirement, Mr. Petty returned to Ozark to make his home. Survivors include his stepdaughters, Pamela Ardis of North Carolina, and Denise Reynolds and her husband, Sedrick, Marsha Ransom and her husband, John, Kechia Eutsey and her husband, Eddie, and Regina Wilson all of Ozark, nine grandchildren, three sisters, Lucy Frisby of Michigan, Oradeall Howard of Indiana, and Hazel Bailey of Illinois, one brother, Bartow Petty, Jr. of Michigan.
