Mrs. Ida Clark Corcoran Jay, age 79, of Ozark, died Tuesday evening, January 15, 2008, in Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be 10:30 A. M. Friday, January 18, 2008, from Ozark Baptist Church with Reverend Greg Aman officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Her body will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service time on Friday morning. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Thursday evening. Mrs. Jay was born September 8, 1928 in Russell County, Alabama to the late William Oscar and Lillian Dudley Clark. She was a member of Ozark Baptist Church and the Agape Sunday School Class. She worked with Army and Air Force Exchange Service at Fort Rucker for 17 years until her retirement, and was an avid gardener. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jay was preceded in death by her husbands, Prather Eugene Corcoran and Thomas Jefferson Jay, Jr., her daughter Vicki Lyn Corcoran, and two brothers, H. Kirk Clark and J. P. Clark. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Connie Corcoran Johnston and her husband George of Ozark, Tina Corcoran Caples and her husband Carrol of Birmingham; one sister, Ann Elizabeth Gehrig and her husband Bill of Clarrington, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, June Clark Bazemore of Columbus, Georgia and Jeanette Clark of Atlanta, Georgia; one brother-in-law, William Corcoran and his wife Jean of Columbus, Georgia; three grandchildren, Jana Robinette and her husband Jason, Kelly Johnston, and Adrienne Watkins and her husband Josh; and one great granddaughter, Macy Lee Robinette. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Ozark Baptist Church, 282 South Union Avenue, Ozark, Alabama 36360. Service Information
