Mrs. Myrtice Anderson Gay, age 77, of Ozark, died early Saturday morning, December 24, 2005, in Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Monday, December 26, 2005, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home of Ozark with Reverend Roger Stone officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 A. M. Monday until service time. Mrs. Gay was born May 20, 1928 in Dale County to the late Bessie Spears Anderson and Albert Anderson. She worked with a smelting plant in Leeds, Alabama for 35 years until her retirement back to Ozark. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Anderson Parrish, and a brother, Curtis Anderson. Survivors include three sisters, Eunice Grantham, the Bertha Community, Vernice Eunice, Montgomery, and Mavis Willis, Montgomery. Eleven nieces and nephews also survive. In lieu of food and flowers, memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 902 South Hwy 123, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
