Obituary of Augusta Johnson Reaves

Mrs. Augusta Johnson Reaves passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at the age of 97. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 P. M. Sunday, May 1, 2016, from Mabson United Methodist Church with Reverend Michael Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Mabson Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. Augusta was born August 17, 1918 in Ozark, AL. She was a longtime, proud employee of the Dale County Health Department and retired in 1980 as County Registrar. Mrs. Reaves has lived the last twenty-five years in Panama City where she and her sister shared their lives and home. Her faith was foremost in her life, followed closely by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Langley Johnson and Anne Heath Johnson; her sisters, Katherine Fustini and Inez Hilton. She is survived by two brothers, Edward Johnson (Jane) of Panama City, FL, Cullen Johnson of Bath, SC; many loving nieces and nephews, among them, Mary Cummings of Piedmont, CA, Mike Johnson of Atlanta, GA, Clay Johnson of Panama City, FL, Mark Johnson of Bath, SC, Alex Chriswell of Cloverville, SC, and Tessa Attaway of Clearwater, SC.
