Obituary of Olon Webster Danner

Mr. Olon Webster Danner, Jr., age 65, of Ozark, died Wednesday evening, August 17, 2005, at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Saturday, August 20, 2005, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home of Ozark with Reverend Isom Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Friday evening. Mr. Danner was born November 7, 1939 in Barbour County to Estelle Hartzog Danner Hagler and the late Olon Webster Danner, Sr., and attended the Ozark School System. He served in the United States Army until his retirement following 33 years, serving as a helicopter crew chief in the Pacific Theater during the Korean Conflict. He then became a brick mason. Mr. Danner was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Nita Motley Danner, Ozark, two daughters, Pamela Danner, Ozark, and Sherri VanLandingham, Quincy, Florida, three sons, Timothy Danner, Hartford, Robert Danner, Hoffman, Texas, and Julian Danner, Bryson City, North Carolina, his Mother, Mrs. Estelle Danner Hagler, Ozark, four sisters, Barbara Allcock, Ozark, Janet Rainer, Ozark, Debra Jones Dickerson, Horn Lake, Mississippi, and Michelle Hall, Parkersburg, West Virginia, two brothers, Lawrence Danner, Bedford, Texas, and Stanley Danner, Dothan. Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive. Service Information
