Obituary of Albert Thomas Curry

Mr. Albert Thomas Curry, 64, of Pinckard, Alabama, died Wednesday, February 8, 2017, in Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Saturday, February 11, 2017, from Pinckard Baptist Church with Reverend Chris Woodall officiating. Interment will follow in Pinckard Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends in Pinckard Baptist Church Friday evening from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Mr. Curry was born April 25, 1952 in Dothan, Alabama to the late Herman Gene Curry and Gwendolyn Davenport Curry. He has been engaged in farming with his father and his brothers at Herman Curry Farms in Pinckard, growing peanuts, cotton and cattle. Mr. Curry received awards in farming for peanuts, cattle and the Overall Farm Award for Dale County. He was serving on the Dale Farmers Federation Board as well as Vice President of The Pinckard Memorial Cemetery Committee. Mr. Curry was a member of Pinckard Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Mallory Curry; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Michael Curry, Johnny Curry, Ted and Ginger Curry; niece, Jami Curry (Derek) Gilley; nephew, Jared Wayne (Sarah) Curry; great nephews, Holden Curry and Laken Gilley; step-children, Woodie (Julie) Shaver, Yancy Shaver, Kelley Shaver, Brent (Melissa) Shaver; three grandsons; Aiden, Bryce, and John Wesley.
