I am so sorry to hear that John passed away. I tried to call several times and could not reach him. I know that January first is his birthday I am his niece that was adopted. He and Gladys were very kind and shared pictures with me. We had the opportunity to visit with each other several times. I treasure those visits. After trying to call again I googled him and found the obituary. He loved his family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. He was a great man and will be missed. Martha Dixon.

John was a good friend of mine and a great American. In addition to his selfless service to this country during and after WWll, John was a joy to know. He had a quick smile that let you know that he really liked being with you. John got up and got moving every day that he could until the many years finally ravaged his physical body and set him to the side...out of the parade of life. I thank God that our temporal paths crossed during our pilgrimage through this world, and I rejoice knowing that he has reached his goal and stepped into the loving arms of his Savior.
