Mr. Leon Lawrence Strickland, 60, of Ozark, died Friday morning, March 31, 2017, in Dale Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:30 P. M. Sunday, April 2, 2017, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Charles Goldsmith officiating. Interment will follow in Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Sunday at the funeral home in Ozark from 1:30 P.M. until service time. Mr. Strickland was born March 20, 1957 in Ozark, Alabama. He worked with the family logging business, Strickland Logging, and later became owner of the business. He enjoyed Harley Davidson Motorcycles, horses, and the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Lawrence Strickland; and his brother, Will Strickland. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Jessie Kellum of Ozark; three sons, Michael Strickland, Curtis Strickland, and Brion Strickland all of Ozark; his Mother, Gladys Jeanette Andrews Strickland of Ozark; two grandchildren, Kaileigh Gardner and Casen Kellum; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Larry Whaley of Ozark, Shirley and Dorsey Tadlock of Ozark, Carolyn and Gary Vance of Madison, Charlotte and Bob Mitchell of Daleville, Janan and Larry Doster of Newville.
