Mrs. Josephine Hayes Gilley, 76, a resident of Ozark, died Saturday, June 16, 2018, in Noland Hospital.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 21, 2018, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Thursday one hour prior to service time.
Mrs. Gilley was born October 29, 1941 in Opelika, Alabama to the late Fred Hayes and Evie Johnson Hayes. She moved to Ozark in 1961 were she worked with the cotton mill until her retirement.
Survivors include one daughter, Kim Brown (Christopher Little) of Ozark; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronny McGowan Sr. (Juliaetta) of Skipperville, and Harold McGowan (Cathy) of Ewell; two sisters, Glennie Courson of Ozark and Elaine Hayes of Huntsville; one brother, Fred Hayes Jr. of Ozark. Seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
