Obituary of Syble Jackson Bush

Mrs. Syble Louise Jackson Bush, of Ozark, died Thursday, June 21, 2018, in Brookwood Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham. Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Monday, June 25, 2018, at Ozark Baptist Church with Pastor Dr. Steve King officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Monday morning in the church from 9:00 A. M. until service time. Mrs. Bush was born November 26, 1925, in Ozark, Alabama, to the late Jesse and Ella Mae Chambers Jackson. Syble worked for many years as a receptionist for Boeing in Cocoa Beach, Florida, and for Van Heusen in Ozark. She was a member of Ozark Baptist Church, a longtime ladies Sunday School teacher, and was involved in many church activities. She loved gardening, flowers, and cooking. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-seven years, Alfred Overton Bush; and two sisters Ilene Jackson and Maunell Woodham. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Marilyn Bush of Calais, Vermont, and Tim and Karan Bush of Birmingham, Alabama; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott) Bush Pearson, Jesse Bush, Christopher (Caroline) Bush, Benjamin (Kimberlynn) Bush, and Allen Bush; four great grandchildren, Gillian Watson, Henry Pearson, Harper Bush and Luna Bush; and one sister, Nina Jernigan.
