Mrs. Evelyn Mims Loftin, 94, a resident of Ozark, died Monday, September 3, 2018, in Oakview Manor Healthcare Facility.
A memorial service for Mrs. Loftin will be held 2:00 P. M. Friday, September 7, 2018, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.
Mrs. Loftin was born April 29, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Leo Bascom Mims and Lessie Chancey Mims. She loved to travel and achieved her goal of visiting every state in the country. Mrs. Loftin lived most of her life in Columbus, Georgia and moved to Ozark in 1975. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Jefferson Loftin.
Survivors include one daughter, Sylvia Frier of Ozark; one son Gary Loftin of Ozark; one brother, Cooper Mims of Kinsey; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
