Obituary of Edna Gayle Peters

Mrs. Edna Gayle O’Connor Peters, a resident of Ozark, died Thursday, January 31, 2019, at her home. She was seventy-four years old.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 5, 2019, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Jim Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
Mrs. Peters was born July 29, 1944 in Greenville, Alabama to the late James Napoleon O’Connor and Edna Irene Mathews O’Connor. She had lived in Greenville, Alabama prior to moving to Ozark May 19, 1974. Mrs. Peters worked with The Barn in Ozark and with David Lee’s Clothing in Ozark. She enjoyed cooking, baking, photography, flower gardening and hummingbirds.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-one years, Edward Earl Peters of Ozark; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Dan Rawlings of Ozark; three grandchildren, Lindsay Sanders of Panama City, Florida, Alizabeth Rawlings of Dover, Delaware, and Daniel Rawlings of Newport News, Virginia; one sister, Judy O’Connor of Greenville, Alabama; one brother, Jimmy O’Conner of Austin, Texas.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Community Hospice of Dale Medical Center, 126 Hospital Avenue, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
