Obituary of Charles E. Grantham

Mr. Charles E. "Bully" Grantham, Sr., age 70, of the Ewell Community of Ozark, died Thursday night, March 31, 2011. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Sunday, April 3, 2011, from Ewell Bible Baptist Church with Pastor David Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in Ewell Cemetery with full Military Honors, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time on Sunday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 3:00 P. M. until 5:00 P. M. Mr. Grantham was born November 13, 1940 in Ewell to the late Alex Roy and Hettie Lee Judah Grantham. He served in the United States Army National Guard, First Battalion, 131st Armor Division in Ozark, retiring in 1999 following 40 years of service. Mr. Grantham was a member of Ewell Bible Baptist Church, and an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Grantham; and his brother, Ned Grantham. Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Chuck and Donna Grantham of Ozark, Scott and Tammy Grantham of Clanton, and Clay Grantham of Ozark; the mother of his children, Joyce Brown of Abbeville; a special friend, Dorothy Kirk of Ozark; five grandchildren, Ashley Kincer, Shelby Grantham, Kayley Grantham, Farrah Grantham, and Avery Grantham; one sister-in-law, Charlene Grantham of Ozark. The family would like to express a special thanks to Southern Care Hospice and his care givers, Lisa Adams and Josephine Gilley.
