Mr. Thomas J. Cochran, Jr., age 86, of Ozark, left this life on Friday, March 20, 2009, in Oakview Manor Health Care Center. A memorial service for Mr. Cochran will be held at Holman Funeral Home of Ozark on Saturday, March 28, 2008, at 10:00 A.M., Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Mr. Cochran was born November 23, 1922 in Washington County, Oklahoma to the late Clara Hymer Cochran and Thomas Jefferson Cochran, Sr. He married Ethel Loraine Mason on September 16, 1942, just before leaving to serve his country in World War II. Mr. Cochran worked at a variety of industrial maintenance jobs, ending his career with Dayton Tire and Rubber Company of Oklahoma City. He and his wife moved to Ozark in 2004. Mr. Cochran served in the United States Army, a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Ethel Mason Cochran of Ozark; four sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Karen Cochran of Marianna, Florida, Larry and Kathleen Cochran of Ozark, Donald and Jan Cochran of Farmington, New Mexico, and David and Laura Cochran of Purdy, Missouri. Also surviving were three brothers, Merle Cochran of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Leonard Cochran of Kansas, and Melvin Cochran of Wuerzburg, Germany.
