Mr. Robert Ray Minton, age 77, of Ozark, died early Monday morning, March 16, 2009 in Oakview Manor Health Care Center follow an extended illness. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, March 18, 2009 in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with his brother, Reverend Wilford Minton, officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Newton, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00 A. M. Wednesday until service time. Mr. Minton was born January 13, 1932 in Ozark to the late Wilford Minton and Bertie Bolton Minton Barnes. He worked as a carpenter with Porter Johnston Home Building and was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church in Ozark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Gladys Sellers. Survivors include two sons, Steve Minton and Donnie R. Minton of Ozark; one granddaughter, Mandi O'Drobinack of Valdosta, Georgia; two great grandsons, Colin Wright and Adam O'Drobinack; one half sister, Sarah Frances Wallace of Florida; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Reverend Wilford and Claudia Minton of Lake City, Florida, Buddy Minton of Atlanta, and Frank and Claudia Minton of Ozark.
