Mrs. Erma Lois Galloway Hughes Sheffield, age 82, of Ozark, died Monday, December 8, 2008 in Dale Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, December 10, 2008 from Browns United Methodist Church with Reverend Marcus Wingard officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Her body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time on Wednesday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P. M. Tuesday evening. Mrs. Sheffield was born January 6, 1926 in Dale County to the late John Albert Galloway, Sr. and Elizabeth Brown Galloway. She worked with General Telephone in Ozark for 30 years retiring in 1988, and was a member of Browns United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Al Sheffield of Ozark; one son and daughter-in-law, Van and Linda Hughes of Wetumpka; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John Albert, Jr. and Betty Galloway, Ray and Lois Galloway, all of Skipperville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
