Obituary of Eudora Searcy Napier

Mrs. Eudora Searcy Napier, age 84, of Ozark, died Saturday, December 15, 2007, in Dale Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, December 19, 2007 from Chalkhead Baptist Church with Reverend Tommy West officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Her body will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service time on Wednesday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Tuesday evening. Mrs. Napier was born October 28, 1923 in Dale County to the late Hoyt and Susie Ethel Scott Searcy. She attended Dale County Schools and worked with Sears in Dothan for 27 years until her retirement. She was a member of Chalkhead Baptist Church, and a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Napier was preceded in death by her son, Henry Vincent Napier, her sister, Juanita Snellgrove, and her granddaughter, Emily Napier. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Susan "Sue" and Steve Maund of Ozark; four grandchildren, Bert Maund and his wife LeeAnne, Troy Maund, Garrett Maund all of Ozark, and Penny Ianuzzi of Washington.
