Mrs. Evelyn Steed Fryer, age 84, of Ozark, died Friday evening, October 19, 2007, in Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Sunday, October 21, 2007, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Hospice Chaplain Charles Goldsmith officiating. Interment will follow in Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Troy, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Saturday evening. Mrs. Fryer was born June 2, 1923 in Brundidge, Alabama to the late Leola Carr Steed and Tom Steed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Fryer. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Steve Deering of Ozark, and Charlotte and Mickey Whitaker of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; one sister, Annette Lee of Lake Martin; one grandson, Aaron Day and his wife, Alisha of Dothan; four great grandchildren, Gabrielle Day, Kathryn Day, Noah Day, and Lilyana Day.
