Mrs. Mary Lucile Mixson Ard, age 93, of Ozark, died Saturday evening, April 8, 2006, in Dale Medical Center following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Tuesday, April 11, 2006, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home of Ozark with Reverend Dr. Billy D. Gaither officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 A. M. Tuesday until service time at 11:00 A. M. Mrs. Ard was born February 8, 1913 in Dale County to the late Martha Matilda Gunter Mixson and Daniel Porter Mixson. She taught school in the Clay County School System and Newville High School. Mrs. Ard was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ozark. She was preceded in death by her husband William Josh Ard in 1985. Survivors include her son, Josh Ard and his wife, Susan Gass of Williamston, Michigan, and three grandchildren, Ethan Ard, Seth Ard, and Aaron Ard.
