Obituary of Emogene Baxley Adams Helms

Mrs. Emogene Baxley Adams Helms, age 77, of Ozark, formerly of the Five Points Community near Louisville, died Friday April 29, 2005. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, May 4, 2005, from Prospect Baptist Church near Clayton, Alabama, with Reverend R. C. Belcher officiating. Interment will follow in Adams Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at Holman Funeral Home in Ozark from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Tuesday evening. Mrs. Helms was born September 24, 1927 in Louisville, Alabama to the late Erie Bryant Baxley and Wiley C. Baxley. She was preceded in death by her son, Byron Adams, three sisters, Myrtice Baxley, Tommie Lou Helms, and Lillian Williams, two brothers, T. C. Baxley and Edwin Baxley, and one grandson, Samuel Caraway. Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie Foster, Ozark, two sons, Bruce Adams and his wife, Margie, Clayton, and Benjamin Adams, Owosso, Michigan, three sisters, Miriam Charping, Clopton, Minnie Merle Baxley, Montgomery, and Addie Maude Berry and her husband, Jim, Cincinnati, Ohio, two brothers, Emmett Baxley and his wife, Bell, Clayton, and Charles Baxley and his wife, Lalah, Clayton, eight grandchildren, Jason Adams, Garden City, Michigan, Daniel Caraway and his wife, Trudi, Ozark, Emily Adams, Garden City, Michigan, Dustin Foster, Ozark, Jennifer Matthews and her husband, Josh, Clayton, Deon Foster and his wife, Jenna, Columbia, Alabama, Joshua Adams, Clayton, and Jesse Adams, Clayton, two great grandchildren, Dillon Caraway and Dalton Caraway, Ozark. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in her memory to Community Hospice, 415 James Street, Suite D, Ozark, Alabama 36360 or to Adams Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, C/O Mrs. Faye Glover, 620 Bud Gary Hwy, Clayton, Alabama 36016.
