Mr. Streit was born May 24, 1922 in Sheffield, Alabama. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy as a Seebee during World War II. Mr. Streit retired from the Montgomery Police Department and the State of Alabama Department of Corrections. He was a member of the Oak Park Masonic Lodge and the Alcazar Shriner Temple in Montgomery. Mr. Streit had resided in Ozark since 1991, where he was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. His two brothers, Maurice Streit and Albert Lee Streit, preceded him in death.
