Reverend Casey was born January 1, 1928, in Barbour County. He was called into the ministry in 1952 and pastored several Churches, serving at Bethel Assembly of God in Ariton for 30 years. He held the office of Assemblies of God Presbyter for the Dothan and Enterprise Sections more than 25 years. He was honored with membership to the Alabama District Hall of Faith in 2001. Reverend Casey was also active in community projects, being instrumental in getting street signs erected on each street in Ariton. He was twice selected as Ariton's Man of the Year. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hervie and Iris Casey, and one sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and James Paulk.
