Obituary of Melba Faulk Gunter

Mrs. Melba Faulk Gunter, 83, of Ozark, died Tuesday, January 30, 2018, in Dale Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 2:30 P.M. Thursday, February 1, 2018, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Chaplain Adam Mulliner officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Wednesday from 4:00 P. M. until 6:00 P.M.
Mrs. Gunter was born August 14, 1934 in Dale County, Alabama to the late George W. H. Faulk and Mittie Glenn Faulk. She worked for many years with White Knight Manufacturing Company and Judy Bond Manufacturing Company in Ozark. Following her retirement, she was the coordinator for the Council of Aging in Ozark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Willie Gunter; and one daughter, Rita Hamm.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Laverne Smith of Ozark; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Jeff and Claudia Gunter of Opelika, Marty Gunter of Ozark, and Roger Gunter of Marianna; son-in-law, Charles Hamm of Headland; one sister, Betty McCall of Pace, Florida; six grandchildren, Kristi Smith, Brian and Melissa Smith, Pennie and Bo Wright, Curran Hamm, Wendy Monroe, and Mike Monroe (Carrie); two great grandchildren, Raven and Starla.
