Mrs. Kolb was born December 19, 1910, in Enterprise, Alabama; the daughter of John Tolbert Dowling and Cora Warren Dowling. Mrs. Kolb, a retired school teacher, was a member of the Ozark First United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Mary Tarver Carroll Sunday School Class, and Circle One United Methodist Women. She was a life member of the Ozark Book Club, and a former member of the Dale County Retired Teachers Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Paul Kolb, Sr., three sisters and three brothers.
