Mrs. Annie Margaret Knight Tucker, age 91, of Newton, died Thursday, February 25, 2016, at her home. Funeral services for Mrs. Tucker will be held in Mooresville, North Carolina to be announced through Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark. Mrs. Tucker was born January 5, 1925 in Mooresville, North Carolina to the late Thomas Rufus Knight and Callie Wilma Broom Knight. She married the love of her life October 17, 1943. She joined the United States Army as a WAC in 1945 and was discharged with an Honorable Medical Discharge. Mrs. Tucker was a house wife the rest of her life, raising four daughters following her husband’s death in1963. She loved the Lord, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She loved doing hand crafts and spent her last years doing embroidering with a machine. She would get up embroidering and embroider until she went to bed. Mrs. Tucker had worn out three machines before finally getting an industrial machine. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Alvis Tucker; her daughter, Callie Elizabeth Tucker Watson; her sister, Arva Elizabeth Knight Nelms; and her brothers, Charles Thomas Knight and Rochel Corde (RC) Knight. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Arzenna and Billy Watson, Margaret Tabitha and John Yocis, Alva Wana and Tony Zawistowski; her adopted son, Ralph Quick and his wife, Caron. Ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren with one on the way, and three great-great grandchildren also survive. Service Information
