Obituary of Kathryn Ammons Lindsay

Mrs. Kathryn Ammons Lindsay, 84, of Ozark died at the home of her daughter Wednesday, June 24, 2015.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 27, 2015 in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark. Interment will follow in Echo Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Kathryn was a native of Echo, the daughter of Jessie Foy “Pete” and Elna Miller Ammons. She lived in various locations while her late husband Raymond Lindsay served in the United States Air Force. They returned to Ozark in 1957 where she started working with the Southeast Alabama Gas Company where she retired after 42 years. She was a member of the Westview Heights United Methodist Church in Ozark.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lindsay; her daughter, Kathy Lindsay DeFord; grandson, Joseph Nicholas DeFord; son-in-law, Tim DeFord; sisters, Voncile Ammons Dick and Betty Ammons Johnson.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherri Lindsay Lowery of Ozark and Harold Murdock; grandchildren, Cherisa Marie Lowery of Echo and Raymond Drake Lowery of Ozark.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Echo Cemetery Fund; C/O Linda Ward, 12066 East Hwy 27, Newville, Alabama 36353.
