Obituary of Peggy Jo Edgar Smith

Mrs. Peggy Jo Edgar Smith, age 79, of Ozark, died Monday, June 16, 2014, at her home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Friday, June 20, 2014, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Roger Stone officiating. Interment will follow in Old Tabernacle Cemetery near New Brockton, Alabama with Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.
Mrs. Smith was born November 14, 1934 in Coffee County, Alabama to the late Joseph Alvin Edgar and Naoma Edgar. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, LTC (Retired) Luther Stephen Smith, Jr.; three sisters, Beulah Owens, Jean Pearson, and Joan Edgar; three brothers, J. L. Edgar, Rolland Edgar, Tommy Edgar.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, David and Lisa Smith of Rome, Georgia;
two step-daughters and son-in-law, Linda Pillar of Milton, Florida, Lezlie and John Antoncich of St. Paul, Minnesota;
two step-sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Yaroslava Smith of Panama City, Florida and Robert and Christine Jenkins of Auburn, California;
one sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Jerry Strickland of Ozark;
two brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy Joe and Dot Edgar of Ozark, Ron and Jane Edgar of Ozark.
Fifteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
