Mrs. Martha Jene Smith Simmons, age 77, of Ozark, went to be with her Lord Sunday, June 8, 2014, at her home.
A memorial service for Mrs. Simmons will be held 2:00 P. M. Friday, June 13, 2014, from St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Ozark.
Mrs. Simmons was born May 9, 1937 in Coffee Springs, Alabama to the late Mitchel Bliss Smith and Willie Pearl Weeks Smith. She served in the United States Air Force for two years, and then moved to various places with her husband while he served in the Air Force. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Howard, Hollis, Huey, Harrel, Herman, and Hayes Smith.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond Simmons of Ozark;
one daughter, Cindy Jene Simmons of Ozark;
one son and daughter-in-law, Timothy Raymond and Tammy Simmons of Dothan;
two grandchildren, Tiffany and Tyler Simmons of Dothan;
and one sister, Mary Sue Hunko of Kinston.
