Obituary of Linda Ann Dickey Mobley Pitts

Mrs. Linda Ann Dickey Mobley Pitts, age 68, of Ozark, died Thursday, March 13, 2014. Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Monday, March 17, 2014, from Hamilton Crossroads Church of Christ in Brundidge with Minister Elisha Freeman and Minister Todd Stork officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 3:00 P. M. until 5:00 P. M. Mrs. Pitts was born October 9, 1945 in the Hamilton Crossroads Community of Pike County to the late Curtis and Evelyn Shiver Dickey. She was a graduate of Troy University with a degree in education and taught school in Ozark for twelve years. Mrs. Pitts was a member of the Ozark Church of Christ, was an avid reader, and enjoyed working in her yards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Rex Mobley. Survivors include her husband, Sam Pitts of Ozark; two daughters and sons-in-law, Michele and Stephen Stumpf of Ozark, Melissa and Sam Glover of the Bertha Community; one step-daughter and son-in-law, Sundae and Mike Dowdle of Mt. Holly, NC; two step-sons and daughters-in-law, Shaun and Emily Pitts of Ft. Knox, KY, Shodee and Maggie Pitts of Ft. Bliss, TX; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Frances and Tom Richards of Hickory, NC; one brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy Ray and Elaine Dickey of Brundidge, AL; twelve grandchildren, Lanie Pitts, Madison Pitts, Halee Pitts, Katelyn Pitts, Emma Pitts, Stoney Davidson, Colt Davidson, Wyatt Davidson, Samuel Pitts, Jr., Bailey Pitts, Sharla Stennett, and Shane Stumpf.
