We just returned home from Mo. to receive this terrible news. I worked with Brenda at SAMC and later was able to see her occasionally at The Ice House. My heart and prayers go out to her husband, son, and the rest of the family. She will be missed.

As much as my heart is breaking that you're no longer physically here with us, I feel better knowing you are perfect now. You're no longer sick and hurting. Thank you for being my friend and "Mama". Most importantly, thank you for being such a wonderful Granny to Bowden. He adores you, and to him, you hung the moon..I am absolutely grateful for the time he had you here. I will always love you Brenda.

I remember the first day I met you as if it was yesterday. You welcomed me into your home, life and heart as if I was always been there. I found an amazing friend in you. You kept me on my toes to say the least. I am already missing our afternoons chats. I will cherish our times together forever! I can never thank you enough for making the man of my dreams. You raised a wonderful amazingly loving son and grandson. I made you a promise months ago and I will keep it. I will keep and take care of Bowden and Christopher to the best of my ability. I promise to tell Bowden all the stories you told me. He will always know his Granny loved him. I promise to take Christopher in the good and bad and try to continue to spoil him the way you did. I promise to pass along the treasures you gave to me so that he will always have a special part of you. I will make Bowden my new spades partner one day and we will whip Christopher and Mr. Chris! I will do my best as keeping Christopher and Mr. Chris strong and I will be there for all three of your men. It's not goodbye but just see you later. I love you Ms. Brenda!

Brenda is my sister in law and I love her dearly. She and her brother (my husband) are very close. He will miss her dearly , they talked often on the phone. We all didn't get to see one another as much as we would have liked but the love and relationship was always there. Brenda was always supportive. She had a great love for her son and grandson!!! They always brought her a lot of joy!! When we would talk she would always laugh and laugh telling stories of things they would do or say. She told us the little special times they shared as a family. Brenda loved her husband and told us of times they shared, they have done so many things together and filled so many of their dreams. She loved the place they lived, the pecan trees, the garden and her dog lady. She was so at peace at home. She loved the simple things in life. I'll never forget when she moved to Alabama about 25 years ago and I'll never forget how happy she was once they made the move. As my husband and I drove around I told him that I know why Brenda loved it here so much. Brenda was a loving, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Much love and many Prayers will bring strength. God Bless. Our eternal love to Brenda, Chris, Christopher, Bowden ( Booger) and Wendy!!

I am so sad to be losing my sister-in-law. She was more to me like a sister and I will miss her so much. Will miss the phone calls on Monday, and several times a week. I know she was ready to meet the Lord and I will see her again one day real soon. Maybe she is talking to daddy right now.
