Barton Elmer Anderson, born April 4, 1928, in New Britain, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2013 at Jackson Hospital in Marianna, Florida. A longtime resident of Southington, Connecticut. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 478 and worked as a mechanic for over 30 years. He was a veteran who served in the Korean War. He was predeceased by his wife, Martha R. (Flugrad) Anderson, school nurse of Southington, for many years. Upon retiring, they both took great pleasure in driving in their RV across the US, Canada and Mexico with the company of their dear old friend (dog) Toke. He leaves behind his children: Faith E (Anderson) Mueller and her husband Rev. Herbert C. Mueller of Waterloo, Illinois., Holly E. (Anderson) Pytka and her husband Edward J. Pytka of West Granby, Connecticut., Barton Peter Anderson and his wife Laurie (Soucy) Anderson of Scotland Connecticut., Lydia (Anderson) Holbrook and her husband William Holbrook of Southington, Connecticut. Eight grandchildren: Herbert C. Mueller III and his wife Kristen Mueller, Nathan Mueller, Carey (Mueller) Scheck and her husband Mike Scheck, Heather (Pytka) Blanchard and her fiancé Benjamin Tyweffort, Elizabeth (Pytka) Reinhart and her husband Christopher Reinhart, Christine (Pytka) Fijalkowski and her husband Mark Fijalkowski., Evelyn Holbrook and Jacob Holbrook. Seven great grandchildren: Naomi, Micah and Rachel Mueller; Emma and Madeline Blanchard; Jeffrey and Julia Reinhart. Three nephews: Tomas Wright; John and Edwin Kania. He has one loving Sister: Otley (Anderson) Kania of Southington and his older sister, Evelyn (Anderson) Wright predeceased him in March 2010.
