Mrs. Mildred Jewel Roberts Smith, age 94, died Sunday, May 12, 2013.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, May 15, 2013, from Calvary Assembly of God Church with Reverend William B. Easterling and Reverend Kenneth Earles officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery near Clio with Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday from 12:30 P. M. until service time.
Mrs. Smith was born April 20, 1919 in the Antioch Community of Barbour County to the late Alex and Nola Dillard Roberts. She had worked several years with Van Heusen and White Knight Manufacturing in Ozark. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Caswell Smith.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Martha and Jack Strickland of Ozark, Nola Hartzog Layton of Clio;
four sons and two daughters-in-law, Wilburn and Louise Smith of Cypress, California, Jerry and Jessica Smith of Panama City, Florida, Ricky Smith and Ronnie Smith of Clio;
one sister Marie Carr of Abbeville.
Thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren also survive.
