Obituary of Ray Neal Turner

Mr. Ray Neal Turner, 76, of Newton, died Tuesday, April 12, 2016, in Oakview Manor Nursing Facility. A memorial service for Mr. Turner will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 25, 2016, in Grace Assembly of God Church Cemetery (formerly Moore's Chapel Assembly of God in Newton) with his sister, Paula Bond, officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of his sister, Sandra Turner. Mr. Turner was born October 29, 1939 in Newton, Alabama to the late O’Neal Turner and Annie Reeder Turner. He lived in Florida for many years where he was a master carpenter prior to returning to Dale County. He will always be remembered for his big heart and willingness to help others. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Geraldine Shirley; two brothers, Junior Hilton Holland and Daniel David Turner. Survivors include two daughters, Karen Olive of Lakeland, Florida, Barbara Lynn Turner of Beaverton, Alabama; three sons, Billy Turner of Polk City, Florida, Kenneth Turner of Auburndale, Florida, Charles Thomas Turner of Dothan, Alabama; two sisters, Paula Bond of Midland City, Alabama and Kathy Dickerson of Newton; one brother, Wayland Turner of Newton; a sister-in-law, Sandra Turner.
