Obituary of Mary Vic Paramore
Miss Mary Vic Paramore, a resident of Ariton, died Thursday morning, March 7, 2019, in Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ozark. She was ninety-nine years old.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 9, 2019, in the Ariton High School Gymnasium with Reverend Greg Brown and Reverend Anita Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Universalist Cemetery in Ariton, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to service time.
Miss Paramore was born June 25, 1919 in Dale County, Alabama to the late Willie Alexander Paramore and Minnie Mae Wynn Paramore. She taught school in Ariton for forty-two years where an untold number of young men and women were influenced by her interest in them to excel in education. She was community minded and supported many civic and school organizations. Miss Mary Vic was instrumental in writing the “History of Ariton” book. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a special nephew, Chris Paramore; and a special life-long friend and co-teacher, Annie Catherine Dean.
Survivors include two special nephews, Ken Paramore and Steve Paramore of Ariton; great nieces and nephews, Tony Paramore of Jacksonville, Florida, Debbie Paramore-Buckner of Tuscan, Arizona, Heather Paramore-Morott of Morgantown, Virginia, Cody Raymond of Ariton, Cecil Paramore of Oklahoma, Anthony Robinette of Oklahoma, Harley Paramore of Oklahoma. Numerous great-great nieces and nephews also survive.
