A friend of mine who lived in Arkansas owned a beautiful cat.
One very cold winter night he he let his dog out to pee. His cat slipped out at the same time. A few minutes later he let his dog back in and the cat never came back in. The next morning he opened the door to find his cat frozen stiff. He didn’t know what to do. He brought his beautiful cat in and put him by the fireplace. His cat didn’t move. He thought he might try some smelling salts but he didn’t have any. He did try to get the cat to smell some gasoline but ended up spilling it in the cats mouth. At this point things got really crazy. The cat jumped up ran around the room twice and bounced off of the fireplace mantel. His beautiful cat then fell to floor.
His cat was ok. He had just ran out of gas.
If you ask me if my Dad is ok I would say yes he just ran out of gas.

Billy Ray was a great friend. I will always treasure our visits at City Market with him and his Father Ray, they were a storehouse of knowledge of the people of our area and adjacent communities. He was respected by all that he came into contact with. May his soul rest in peace with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
