Obituary of Audrey Glover Andrews
Ms. Audrey Myra Ann Glover Andrews, known to loved ones as “Maw-Maw” went to be with our Father in Heaven Thursday, March 21, 2019. Ms. Andrews had struggled with Alzheimer’s disease for the past ten years. She was 83 years old.
Funeral services for Ms. Andrews will be graveside 2:00 P. M. Monday, March 25, 2019, in Shiloh Cemetery in Clayhatchee, Alabama with Reverend Al Sonanstine officiating. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.
Ms. Andrews was born May 24, 1935 in Daleville, Alabama to the late John Wiley Glover and Dora Rucker Andrews Glover. She was a life-long resident of Ozark, Alabama and a long-time member of Camp Ground Baptist Church where she served on the Library Committee as well as the Counting Committee. Ms. Andrews enjoyed a long career at Wal-Mart in Ozark creating many lasting friendships. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Foy Glover, Sybil Glover Walker, Gene Glover and Shirley Faye Glover Osborn. She was also preceded in death by her precious granddaughter, Brooke Lianne Hudgens. Ms. Andrews loved her children and grandchildren and devoted her entire life to them. She loved baking and often shared her delicious deserts with family as well as her “church” family.
She is survived by her children, Phyllis Andrews Hudgens (husband Joe Jack Hudgens, Jr.) and Timothy S. Andrews (wife Jasmine Andrews); three grandchildren, CW2 Brenton R. Hudgens, Brittany D. Hudgens and Riley Saunders; two great grandsons, Wesley Hudgens and Eli Hudgens; as well as her sister-in-law, Eloise Hall Glover and several nieces and nephews.
