Obituary of Jane Alice Cartee

Mrs. Jane Smith Cartee, a resident of Ozark, died Friday morning, December 6, 2019, at her home.  She was 75 years old.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, December 8, 2019, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Leon Estep officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday at the funeral home in Ozark from 2:00 P.M. until service time.  

Mrs. Cartee was born September 26, 1944 in Geneva county Alabama to the late William Ogburn Smith and Ethelene Bolin Smith. She attended Carroll High School and was life-time member of the Ozark Church of Christ. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed going fishing, going to the beach, shopping, riding four-wheelers, hunting arrow heads, outdoor activities, watching the Atlanta Braves and pro-rodeo programs.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis Cartee of Ozark; two daughters, Janet Beasley (Randy) of Ozark, Pam Morrow of Dothan; one step-daughter, Brandi Asbell (Matt) of Gainsville, Florida; one sister, Karen Taylor (Hugh) of Ozark; one brother, Kennon Smith (Ellen) of Coffee Springs, Alabama. Five grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.
