Obituary of Patricia Allen Powell

Mrs. Patricia Ann “Patty” Allen Powell, a resident of Ozark, died Sunday, July 19, 2020. She was 68 years old. Funeral services for Mrs. Powell will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 24, 2020, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Jim Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Friday from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Mrs. Powell was born April 3, 1952 in Ozark, Alabama. She was a 1970 graduate of Carroll High School. Patty was employed with Andrews Drugs in Ozark until her retirement. She was a dedicated and devoted single mother to Richard. Patty was an animal lover. Some of her happiest days were spent raising and riding horses. She enjoyed painting/drawing and going fishing. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest E. Allen; her brother, Marty Allen; two sisters, Allison Stevens and Karen Jones and her husband, Butch. Survivors include her son, Richard Allen Powell (Emily) of Warrior, Alabama; her Mother, Grace Snell Allen of Ozark; one sister, Cassie Spinella (Jim) of Norfolk, Virginia; two grandchildren, Brittani Powell (Will) Hays of Dothan and Etta Grace Powell of Warrior, Alabama; three great grandchildren, Jeremy, Abraham and Moses Hays all of Dothan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ozark-Dale County Humane Society, P. O. Box 2502, Ozark, Alabama 36361. The family would like to thank the staff at Oakview Manor for their dedicated and compassionate care.
