Mr. Wilburn West, 83, of Ozark, died Thursday, November 17, 2016, in Flowers Hospital.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Sunday, November 20, 2016, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Floyd Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Sunday at the funeral home in Ozark from 12:30 P. M. until service time.
Mr. West was born November 5, 1933 in Montgomery County, Alabama to the late Nathan W. West and Gertrude Morris West. Following his service in the United States Army, he moved to Ozark and worked for 46 years with various maintenance contractors at Fort Rucker as a sheet metal mechanic.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Katie Jean Lovett West of Ozark; one daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Mark Collins of Dothan; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Kenny and Karen West of Ozark, Gary West of Ozark, and Nathaniel and Dawn West of Dothan; six grandchildren, Brandon West, Taylor West, Audrey West, Gracie West, Chelsea Collins, and Lynsey West (Heath); one great grandchild, Maci Kate West; and his canine best friend, Little Max.
