On Tuesday, September 29, 2020, Joseph Roberson transitioned from earthly time into eternity.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 7, 2020 in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Elder Adrian Lynn (Church of God by Faith) officiating. Interment will follow in St. Rose Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P. M.
Joseph Roberson was born December 22, 1946 to the late Buster Robinson and Virginia Robinson-Gray. Joseph attended school at D. A. Smith High School in Ozark, Alabama. After which, Joseph worked various jobs in the area; Sikorsky, Army Fleet Support, and lastly Global Aero Space Mechanics, before retiring in 2015 after 29 years. As an adult, he joined Church of God by Faith in Ozark, Alabama.
Joseph liked to travel and loved sports. He was an avid Alabama fan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Buster Robinson and Virginia Robinson-Gray. Four sisters: Lois Smith, Virginia Lou Coleman, Sweetie, McCray, and Cecelia Dees. Four brothers: Edward Robinson, Melvin Robinson Willie Roy Robinson, and Jessie Lee Robinson.
Joseph was married to the former Kathleen Miller and of this union three children will cherish his memories: Joseph Maurice Robinson of New York, Mechelle Robinson and Felicia Yulanda Robinson of Ozark, Alabama. Four Grandchildren: Montaviya Robinson of Kentucky, Carlos Robinson of Colorado, Antonio Avery and Xavier Ingram of Alabama. Two sisters: Martha Robertson of Ozark, Alabama and Gloria Jean Robinson of Dothan, Alabama. Five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
