Obituary of James Alfred Bowman

Mr. James Alfred Bowman, a resident of Ozark, died Wednesday, January 6, 2021. He was 71 years old.
Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, January 9, 2021, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark with Pastor Dan Kellum officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until service time.
Mr. Bowman was born June 7, 1949 in Ozark, Alabama to the late Alfred B. Bowman and Lillie Pearl Gunter Bowman. He was a life-long resident of Ozark where worked for many years as a painter and also as a truck driver with Gulf Ice Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Chad Ryan Bowman; five sisters and brothers.
Survivors include three daughters, Tammy Bowen (Tim) of Gulf Shores, Alexzandria Bowman (Chad Williams) of Ozark, Holly Haynes (Jonathan) of Baldwin, Georgia; five grandchildren, Ian Lingerfelt, Sawyer Lingerfelt, Lilli Haynes, Maddi Haynes and Jesse Bowman; three sisters, Sherry Bowman Decesare (Joe) of Ozark, Joyce Howell (Ronnie) of Ozark, Hazel Stewart of South Carolina; mother of Alexzandria, Donna Jackson of Skipperville.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in his memory to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1124 County Road 11, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
