Obituary of Jeanette Andrews Strickland

Mrs. Gladys Jeanette Andrews Strickland, a resident of Ozark, died Wednesday, January 6, 2021. She was 94 years old.
A graveside service for Mrs. Strickland will be held 2:00 P. M. Saturday, January 9, 2021, in Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Anita Brown officiating. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. Guidelines for social distancing and face covering will be observed.
Mrs. Strickland was born September 11, 1926, in Dale County, Alabama to the late Benjamin Ray Andrews and Winnie L. Peacock Andrews. She was a homemaker who devoted her time to her family whom she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Jesse Lawrence Strickland; two sons, Leon Lawrence Strickland and William Ray Strickland; one daughter, Charlotte Strickland Mitchell.
Survivors include four daughters, Wanda Whaley (Larry) of Ozark, Shirley Tadlock (Dorsey) of Ozark, Carolyn Vance (Gary) Huntsville, Alabama, and Janan Doster (Larry) of Newville; two brothers, Homer Andrews and Terriel Andrews (Mary Ellen); and one sister, Sue Stuckey (Bob). Eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, several nieces and nephews also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, C/O Mr. Ronnie Baldwin, 2536 County Road 33, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
