Mrs. Sandra Byrd White, formerly of Ozark, died Thursday night, March 24, 2022, at the age of 81.
Funeral services will be graveside 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 26, 2022, in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Johnny Anderson officiating. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing.
Mrs. White was born June 6, 1940 in Ozark, Alabama to the late Houston Akril Byrd and Martha Ennis Averett Byrd. She graduated from Enterprise High School and worked with Alabama Power Company as an Administrative Assistant for thirty years until her retirement. Sandra loved to play bridge, watch FOX News and was an avid Auburn fan.
She is survived by two sisters, Nina Strickland (Bill) of Birmingham and Judy Grimsley (Tommy) of Enterprise; four brothers, Jerry Byrd (Sharon) of Ariton, Grady Byrd of Ozark, Henderson Byrd (Bette) of Ozark and Jeff Byrd (Kim) of Ewell. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to the Ebenezer Cemetery Fund (Long Street Community Cemetery) C/O Mrs. Peggy Lewis, 6033 County Road 36, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
