We send our deepest condolences to the Smith Family and want you all to know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers. Having never been able to meet Mr. Smith, I know without a doubt he was a loving Man, Father, and Husband due to the example he set and the values he instilled that I observed in his son David with whom I have worked with in the Coast Guard. I think there is no better way to remember and honor such a person than to know that Mr. Smith will live on through the examples and values he set. Wyatt & Kasie Ingram

The Weir family has been blessed to get to know Stan in the last few years since our families were united. His deep love of his family was evident to each of us. We are deeply saddened by his loss and our deepest sympathies are extended to Sara-Bethany and all the Smith clan. May the Lord give you His peace during this difficult time.

I was so sorry to hear of Stan’s passing. I have wondered about him for some time since our chance encounter in a Dothan doctor’s office. We discussed our physical problems some but mostly talked about growing up in Samson. We had a wonderful conversation about many friends and past experiences. Stan even announced my nickname, Moose, to the nurses. They have continued to call me by such. I pray for the family and friends and wish God’s blessings on them all.

Stan became a friend while we were fellow pharmacists in Daleville and Elba. He was not bashful about speaking of his love for his wife, his family, his profession as a pharmacist, and for Auburn. It was a joy to work with him and it was so sad to witness all the perils he experienced in his later life with his health and with the hurricane taking his getaway at the beach. Stan was always a trooper though and maintained a positive attitude and outlook. We will all miss him as we pray for comfort and strength for Stan’s wife and family in this time of grieving. May God continue to bless and protect each of you.

No words can express our sorrow for the loss of our friend Stan. From flying, snow skiing and river tripping we had a great time together and with our families. Never forget his ability to cook a good meal along the way. We will always hold Stanley T's memory in the top of our minds never forgetting those wonderful times together. We know Stanley is in heaven with our Heavenly Father and at rest from his labors. We thank God for the life of Stanley Thomas Smith.

So sorry to hear of Stan’s passing! Grew up with his family in Samson, AL and had the pleasure of coaching Stan on our basketball team in the early 1970’s. May God be with this family during this difficult time!
