Obituary of Gregory Lane "Greg" Marsh

Mr. Gregory Lane “Greg” Marsh, a resident of Ariton, died Friday, November 11, 2022, in Flowers Hospital. He was 61 years old. Funeral services for Mr. Marsh will be graveside 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Universalist Cemetery in Ariton with Reverend Rickey Murphy officiating. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends following the graveside service. Serving as pallbearers will be Roger Jolly, Rickey Murphy, Kenneth Tew, Bradley Pynes and Sherri Hasselburg. Mr. Marsh was born March 31, 1961 in Ariton, Alabama and attended Ariton High School. He worked in the construction of steel buildings with Phillips and McGhee and with South Alabama Livestock in Brundidge. Greg was an avid Alabama football fan who loved to go hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Stafford; two sons, Cliff Marsh and Brooks Marsh; one sister, Terri Sigers; one niece, Ashley Marsh; and one nephew, Josh Pynes. Survivors include his mother, Peggy Senn Stafford; one daughter, Aerial Lewis (TJ); two sons, Justin Marsh (Alex) and Matthew Marsh (Rebecca); two sisters, Vicki Stafford Tew and Tammy Pynes (Bradley) one brother, Steve Marsh; grandchildren, Bronner Marsh, Bishop Marsh, Maddux Marsh, Teagan Lewis, Courtney Marsh, Briar Hurst and Kenleigh Danner; nieces and nephews, Victoria Tew Danner, Conner Tew, Tatum Marsh, Alicia Bradshaw, Amanda Hagler, Anthony and Trey Sigers. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association, 1449 Medical Park Drive, Birmingham, Alabama 35213.
