Priscilla Morott Baker passed away peacefully at her home in Rowlett, Texas on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. She was 71 years old. She will be remembered with love by all who met her. Priscilla leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that all who knew her will carry on.
Funeral services for Mrs. Baker will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from Mount Carmel United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends in the church Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time.
Priscilla was born on January 2, 1951 in Ozark, Alabama. She grew up enjoying the natural beauty of Alabama, the company of her brothers and sister, and her mother and father’s cooking. She enjoyed a long career at Texas Instruments/Raytheon. Priscilla held various high-level positions including Auditor and Property Disposition Specialist. She grew and maintained many lifelong friendships during her years at Raytheon, and would still talk about her friends and coworkers long after her retirement in 2014. Her coworkers describe “Priss” as a “true blessing” and a “fireplug.” In recent years, Priscilla enjoyed spending time with her family. She always maintained a sense of humor and quick wit, regardless of her circumstances. Priscilla loved her children fiercely, and acted as a mother to anyone that needed a hug or advice. Her family will always treasure her motherly love and true friendship. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Woodham Morott and her brother, Johnny Morott.
Priscilla is survived by her children Mary Baker Witcher (Brewer), Erick Baker (Liz), and Jennie Baker (Matt), all of Dallas, Texas. She leaves behind siblings Lenora Franklin (Weldon) of Weston, TX; Joseph “Butch” Morott of Ozark, AL; Michael “Mickey” Morott (Teresa) of Princeton, TX; and Timothy Morott of Slagle, LA.
