Obituary of David Mark Cordell

Mr. David Mark Cordell, a resident of the Rocky Head Community, died Tuesday, January 3, 2023. He was 54 years old. Funeral services for Mr. Cordell will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, January 6, 2023 in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Joe Underwood officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Friday from 9:00 A.M. until service time. Mr. Cordell was born December 13, 1968 in Dale County, Alabama to the late Herbert Downs Franklin Cordell and Betty Carol Smith Cordell. He attended Carroll High School and worked with Jordan Industries for several years before working with Wayne Farms as a Maintenance Supervisor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and being outdoors. Mr. Cordell especially enjoyed being with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Tammy Kaye Bell Cordell of the Rocky Head Community; one daughter, Haiden Cordell of Auburn; one step-daughter, Maegan Watson of Ariton; one step-son, Tyler Love (Megan) of Graceville; one brother, Danny Cordell of Ozark. Five grandchildren and his little companion, Callie also survive.
