Obituary of Patricia Ann Wellman

Patricia Ann Wellman (nee McCraw), on January 12, 2023, joined her husband, Hubert Wellman, and eldest daughter, Gail Ann Sallee, in heaven. She passed peacefully after a long and loved life. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Wellman will be 2:00 P. M. Sunday, January 15, 2023 in Woodlawn Memory Gardens in Ozark with Reverend Justin Davis officiating. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends following the graveside service. To honor Mrs. Wellman, please wear color to celebrate her life, not black. Patricia was born on April 1, 1932, in Winters, Texas. At a young age, her mother moved herself and Patricia to Lordsburg, New Mexico where she grew up and met the love of her life, Hubert, who was then a Marine, and eventually retired as a CW4 in the United States Army. Together, they raised four children and built a beautiful home, and she became a wonderful homemaker. Pat and Hubert shared a pastime, bowling, and won many tournaments throughout the years. In the late 1950s, Patricia volunteered at a hospital as a Grey Lady. She continued her love for volunteering at Dale Medical Center in Ozark as a Pink Lady for almost a decade. Later in life, she picked up a passion for playing board games and watched multiple hours of western shows and movies. She was a bright light and kind soul to everyone she met. Patricia is survived by a large family: her daughters, Diana Lynn Wood, and Barbara Jean Vaughn; her son, Glenn Vance Wellman; her grandchildren, Susan Jordan, John Wesley Sallee, Jefferey Allen Sallee, Jennifer Ann Thackeray, Sky David Wellman, Ryan Wellman; and great grandchildren, Natalie Biron-Yuan, Elizabeth Marie Wellman, Hannah Rose Wellman, Jenna Rose Wellman, and soon Alexander Graham Sallee.
